Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox was born in Aberdeen Scotland on December 25 1954. Dorothy Farquharson was her mother and Thomas Allison Lennox was her father. Lennox was awarded a scholarship to study at London's Royal Academy of Music for three years. She survived on a student stipend and did part-time jobs to supplement her budget. Lennox made the decision to alter her profession when she was dissatisfied with her lack of skill in contrast to other Royal Academy students. Lennox began her career in 1976 when she joined a band called Dragons Playground. She left the band shortly before their appearance in I.T.V's Talent show New Faces. She was The singer for The Tourists from 1977 until the year 1980. She met Dave Stewart, with whom she would form the pop-duo Eurythmics. Then, Lennox began working for her debut album as a solo artist Diva and it came out in 1992. The album was an enormous success both commercially and critically. Nostalgia Lennoxs 6th solo album debuted in the month of October, 2014. The C.D. Lennox has picked her most favored blues, soul and jazz tracks. Lepidoptera was recorded by Lennox on May 19, 2019. It is a collection consisting of four tracks composed by Lennox. The E.P. This album is a companion piece to her Now I let the door open... art installation which was on display at Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art.
